How To Book
- Telephone Charlotte on +33 (0)637 717 527 or email info@chalet1802.com to check for availability and any further information you may require.
- To secure your booking we will ask you to complete our emailed booking form and pay a deposit of 10%.
- Upon receiving said deposit we will send you confirmation of the reservation. (Deposits, or proof of payment of the deposit must be sent within 48hrs of the Hirer confirming their request to book).
- The confirmation of the reservation will state the remaining balance due to Chalet 1802 and the date by which this payment must reach us – 60 days prior to your arrival. No further reminder will be issued unless specifically requested.
- Should full payment for group bookings not be made on time this will result in the forfeiting of any discounts, or the cancellation of your holiday with appropriate cancellation charges. Balances must be paid by the party leader in one full payment.
- If you are booking within 60 days of your arrival we will require the full payment. We cannot accept cheques.
- There is a 300, 700 or 1000 euro damage deposit payable by bank transfer before your arrival. This will be returned to the party leader within a week of your departure providing the chalet is returned in a fit state and no serious damage has been done. Please provide us with your bank details so we can refund you.

Booking Terms & Conditions
PRICING & PAYMENTS
- Rates are per chalet per dates specified and include self-catered accommodation, local taxes, linen, towels, and toiletries.
- A 10% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid at least 60 days before arrival.
- Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation without a refund.
- Payments are accepted via bank transfer to Chalet 1802 Limited’s business account. (Recipient CHALET 1802 LIMITED, Recipient address 231 Rte de L’Ecole, 74310, Les Houches, France, IBAN FR76 2823 3000 0104 5200 2547 696, BIC REVOFRP2, Intermediary BIC CHASDEFX, Bank Revolut Bank UAB, Bank address 10 avenue Kléber, 75116, Paris, France)
- Travel, transfers, holiday and medical insurance, lift passes, ski hire, tuition, lunches, breakfast, evening meals, nanny service, driving service are not included in the price.
HIRE PERIOD
Hirings normally run from 4 pm. on the first day of the Hire Period until 11 am. on the last day of the Hire Period. The Hirer agrees to make every effort to arrive at the Chalet by the specified time of arrival. Self check-in is between 4 and 8 pm. Any failure to notify Chalet 1802 of a late arrival, resulting in failure by Chalet 1802 to provide access to the Chalet, will result in responsibility for overnight accommodation being with the Hirer. Late check-out may incur additional charges unless pre-approved.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT
A damage deposit of 300 Euro for Petit Bois, 700 Euro for Chalet Sous les Bois and 1000 Euro for Chalet 1802 is payable in advance of arrival by bank transfer. The deposit will be returned to the party leader within one week of departure providing no damage or rule violations occur. Deductions may be made for damage, excessive cleaning, or unpaid fees. (We do not charge for minor, inconsequential damages). Please provide us in advance with your bank details if the refund is to be returned by bank transfer.
MODIFICATIONS & EARLY DEPARTURES
Date changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges, and early departures are non-refundable.
USE OF THE PROPERTY
- The Hirer must use the Chalet for the purpose of a private holiday residence only and not for any other purpose whatsoever.
- Maximum occupancy limits must be respected.
- No parties, excessive noise, or visitors are authorised unless written agreement has been established prior to the Hire Period.
- Guests must keep the property clean and report any damage immediately.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property.
- Pets are not allowed unless pre-approved.
- Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the chalets so please bring a pair of indoor shoes or slippers for use inside the chalets.
- Upon checkout the chalet is to be left in a respectful state; kitchen cleaned, bins emptied and taken away, furniture and furnishings put back where you found them. (Failure to do so may result in additional cleaning fees).
- Violation of house rules may result in immediate eviction without a refund.
- Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
- Costs for repairs or extra cleaning will be deducted from the security deposit. (Cleaning rates are 30 euro per hour.)
- Missing items (e.g., keys, towels, appliances) will be charged at replacement value.
RIGHTS OF REFUSAL
Chalet 1802 reserves the unconditional right to terminate a Holiday with immediate effect in the event of unreasonable conduct by the Hirer which is in Chalet 1802’s reasonable opinion likely to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to other customers, employees, property or to any third party. Upon termination of the Holiday Chalet 1802’s responsibility to the Hirer’ thereupon ceases. Full cancellation charges will apply (as set out below) and Chalet 1802 will be under no obligation or liability whatsoever for any refund, compensation or loss that the Hirer may incur.
DESCRIPTION
Every effort is made to ensure that the Chalet complies with the description given to the Hirer at the time of booking. However Chalet 1802 cannot accept any liability for any changes or inaccuracies that occur between the time of the booking and the commencement of the Hire Period.
LIABILITY & INSURANCE
The use of the Chalet and its facilities is entirely at the Hirer’s own risk and Chalet 1802 cannot be responsible for any injuries caused to the Hirer, his/her guests or any third parties. In addition, Chalet 1802 will not be liable to compensate the Hirer for any damage or loss of enjoyment in respect of the Holiday if the failure in the enjoyment was the Hirer’s fault, or could have been reasonably foreseen. Chalet 1802’s liability in any event for any damage or loss (including both direct and indirect loss of enjoyment) will not in any event be greater than the Hire Price.
Guests are advised to have comprehensive travel insurance, including medical coverage and trip cancellation.
Use of facilities (e.g., fireplaces, ski equipment, saunas) is at the guest’s own risk.
CANCELLATION
If the Hirer wishes to cancel his/her Holiday he/she must notify Chalet 1802 by email. Such a cancellation will incur administration costs on the part of Chalet 1802 and Chalet 1802 may not be able to resell the booking. As such the following cancellation charges will apply:

If we manage to re sell the dates you booked we will refund you the full amount minus any costs/discounts we offered to ensure the resale. |
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover unforeseen cancellations.
FORCE MAJEURE
Chalet 1802 is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or other unforeseen events beyond our control. In such cases, bookings may be rescheduled or credited for a future stay at our discretion.
COMPLAINTS
In the unlikely event of a complaint about the chalet, this should be reported to Chalet 1802 (Tel: +33 (0) 63 77 17 527) within three days of the commencement of the Hire Period and confirmed by email to info@chalet1802.com within one week of the commencement of the Hire Period. Failure to do this will result in Chalet 1802 being unable to deal with the complaint. Complaints cannot be accepted after a Hirer has returned home and there has been no opportunity to address and complaints during the Hire Period.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement (together with the documents referred to herein): constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter of this agreement; and supersedes and extinguishes any prior drafts, agreements and undertakings between the parties relating to such subject matter.
RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES
A person who is not a party to this agreement has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce, or to enjoy the benefit of, any provision of this Agreement.
GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
ACCEPTANCE
As part of Chalet 1802’s acceptance of the booking, the Hirer warrants to Chalet 1802 that all information provided to Chalet 1802 is correct and that the Hirer is aged 18 years or over.
BOOKING.COM & THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS
Bookings made via Booking.com or other platforms are subject to both Chalet 1802’s terms and the platform’s policies. Chargebacks initiated fraudulently will be legally pursued.
PRIVACY POLICY
Personal data is collected solely for booking purposes and is handled in compliance with GDPR regulations.
