Apart from its scenic location, Petit Bois also offers the possibility of a holiday filled with adventure and excitement. The chalet can sleep up to 6 people in three small, comfortable bedrooms.
The perfect place
This is a very rare property in that it’s virtually impossible to find a small, independent chalet suitable for a family or a small group of friends that has both a Jacuzzi & a sauna. Petits Bois is 100m2 in total. It’s compact but cleverly designed, cosy and stylish. It has a gorgeous, light & airy open plan living, kitchen & dining room, three small but comfortable bedrooms, a relatively big entrance, an office area with a washing machine, a south facing garden and ample parking places. We can sleep up to 6 guests max.
Although we’ve managed to squeeze a lot into a relatively small space you will find Petit Bois both charming and incredibly functional. There is a surprising amount of storage and comfortable beds!
On the ground floor there is an entrance and two bedrooms that have a Jack & Jill shower room en suite. There is a further small twin bedroom, an office and laundry area and stairs that lead up to the living room floor.
On the top floor you will find a newly installed kitchen, dining area, two large corner sofas and a further bathroom with a bath.
The chalet is located at the far end of Les Houches on your way to Chamonix. It’s just a 5 minute’s drive to Chamonix town centre, the ski areas of Les Houches and the inter-linked area of Brevent & Flegere.
There is a bus that stops 700 meters from the chalet’s front door and a train that stops another 100 meters further on.
Chamonix is renowned as the skiing and climbing capital of the world. It hosted the first Winter Olypics in 1924 and since then has been a centre for extreme sports in both summer and winter.
But Chamonix offers far more than just the ‘extreme’. Sitting at the base of the majestci Mont Blanc (Europe’s highest mountain) it is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with an elegant and cosmopolitan town centre and a plethora of fun things to do.
Chamonix is actually busier in the summer than winter! There’s so much to do you can easily pass a week without making too much of a dent on your to do list.
From sightseeing, to hiking, to sunbathing and wyling a way a relaxing day at the lake, most things you would want to do are possible here.
To get the most out of all these wonderful options I would recommend having a car as many options are a short drive.
We live in the old Farmhouse next door. Please be aware that our gardens are linked. The sauna is located in the garden of the big chalet, but on the east side of the house – the side we only use if we are having a sauna (which we will not do if you are here!) The jacuzzi sits on the boundary between the two gardens. There is a hedge which splits the two spaces and provides privacy for both ourselves and you.
We have three properties in the valley which we have been running professionally since 2003. We are experienced and conscientious hosts. We own and have renovated all three properties and because we own them we care about them. We are therefore continuously upgrading and maintaining them. We have put a lot of thought and care into setting up our properties so that our guests are comfortable and well looked after.
