I’ve been very lucky in the end.  When young, the last thing I ever wanted to do was become a chalet girl.  The reason; my Mother was one and all I ever heard was ‘when I was a chalet girl’.  In the end though, becoming a chalet girl was the best thing that happened to me.  By running our own chalet business we accidentally fell into the building trade which has allowed me to get creative! 

First we renovated the chalets, where I tried my hand at interior design, curtain making and small fun projects around the home.  Then the chalets needed photographing, so I got into that too.  And right now, while I wait for poor Daph to get one of the buildings ready for it’s interior phase, ceramics is where my focus is lying.

I’ve got a long way to go in all three fields, but as I primarily work for myself perfection is less important shall we say!  The fun is in journey and I’m so grateful to be able to have all these creative opportunities.
